Post-drapdap syndrome...

A live liveset from 2003, Ultrahang festival in the A38 ship on the danube in budapest, having spent the afternoon with one of my heroes Felix (F.X.Randomiz) and Antye and Sasu (AGF and Vladislav Delay), whom i supported that night, it was a perfect day somehow.

A computerless set-up, my mmt8 sequencer driving a waldorf
Microwave 2, one of my favourite synths ever, beats and generative sequences from a nord micromodular, and all the "studio material" is from an e-mu sampler, an esi32. I did write most of these on an Atari 1040, but than skinned it so it fits in the mmt8 sequencers tiny memory, and chopped the beats into the sampler, again, small bits, it was maxed out at 32mb. A good exercise, actually much of compact disco and drapdap was written this way, minimal hardware driven by the Atari, recorded, than chopped up again, and repeat.

Went back to the original DAT tape to transfer this properly, from a tascam DA-20 so this isn`t the quality of the mp3 that was circulating, but a better one. Not edited or anything, just fixed digital artifacts (dat overdriven) and volume drops where it needed it, also i didn`t compress it, kept it true to that night, so play it loud and enjoy!
