about

Difficult recordings for difficult people in difficult times.

Played, recorded, cut and mastered during the summer and autumn of 2020, from august to october. Even the (quite minimal) electronics i used here were built this summer, the record has grown out of testing, tunings these circuits, while doing waveform and volts per octave calibrations until some takes just grown out of their simple documentarist nature, and i started to listen to them, later sorting thru about 12 hours of random improvised "performances" with half finished bits of electronics played as instruments, or just pretending they are.

Don't let the cover fool you, this is really dark, downlifting minimalistic or even manic drone/noise musick even if it's clean as i avoided distorsion all the way thru or at least i've tried, that was the point the first place, i'm not sure it falls into the category of what humans describe as music, so be warned.

Jurgen Haible's Living Oscillators and his Tau Phaser were used extensively, along with a pair of Serge filters and a Resonant equaliser, also the N-Comparator, i have two. Spaces are made mostly on an Axoloti board so other than the fx there are no digital sources on these takes.

Cover art was done while soldering, as i wasn't building for a year or so and shame on me, i forgot transistors legs order.

Have fun and fund me some more transistors if you can, my iron is hot.
